You keep telling yourself you are gonna tackle that mountain of dishes in the sink today, right? Instead of agonizing over getting it (or not getting it) done, let your preschooler do the chore for you.
My son loves a soapy sink full of dishes to wash. Sure it takes him more than twice as long and most of the water is all over him and the floor before he’s done. But the kid sure can scrub and it takes half the load off me which is perfect.
Sometimes that long list of chores requires you to get a little creative in order to get it all done without losing your mind.

Today’s topic is “6 things other people do that make you personally uncomfortable.” You can answer this with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences, 6 paragraphs, 6 photos, 6 videos, etc . . .
#1 – I hate when people call me honey or sweetie, anyone besides my husband of course.
#2 – When other couples fight in front of me I get all weirded out.
#3 – Loud noisy places where I cannot focus on what is happening or what people are saying to me make me uncomfortable.
#4 – When people talk about personal finances.
#5 – When I get caught in the middle of mommy blogger wars. Seriously now, its the internet, get over it.
#6 – Talking to people on the phone. Don’t get me wrong, I love to talk to my regulars, like my husband and mom, but the rest make me a bit uncomfortable for some reason.

My To Do list is long today, but my energy level is low. Not sure how that is going to work out, but I am trying. I started with something easy, maybe that will build momentum. LOL
My desktop was cluttered with unzipped folders of scrapbook kits I have downloaded and neglected.

But now it is all clean! Yay! I unzipped and organized and saved all my shiny new digi items. They are ready and waiting to be used. Creating scrapbook pages with them will have to be tackled another day, but it’s a start…

I’m sure we’re all familiar with that old image of military men and a gigantic pile of potatoes that need peeling.
Things are never that dreary in my kitchen and my son gets excited about peeling potatoes when I pull out the apple peeler. I am in charge of jamming the potato onto the spokes and taking it off so he does not cut his hand on the blade. However, the job of cranking the handle and managing the long snake like peels is all his and he loves it.

This works great for homemade mashed potatoes and is also a huge hit with apples in the Fall for pie. He loves to be in the kitchen with me. I’d make him an apron if I didn’t think my husband would object to him wearing one.
I definitely recommend investing in a peeler/corer/slicer. This is one gadget in my kitchen that does not collect dust.
